One thing you should know about Tom is his prolific digital footprint with over 800,000 followers on LinkedIn, Twitter and other social accounts.

In 2018, Tom was named the Second Most Influential Person in Accounting for the sixth year by Accounting Today Magazine. He was also one of the first five thought leaders inducted into the Accounting Hall of Fame (2015) by CPA Practice Advisor and LinkedIn recruited Tom as one of the Top 100 Influencers.

He is on a mission to help CPAs, Finance and Accounting Professionals thrive in these times of exponential change. He firmly believes that what got us here, won’t get us there as the Profession faces unprecedented changes and opportunities.

Tom helps CPAs and organizations be future-ready through his work at the Business Learning Institute that provides state of the art learning curriculums, strategy and leadership development for the Top 500 CPA Firms, Fortune 500 corporations, non-profits, State CPA Societies and even internationally.

He has been the CEO of MACPA and BLI for twenty two years and was a CFO of a highway construction company before that. He graduated from Loyola University – Maryland and has a Masters in Finance from Johns Hopkins University.

He lives in Baltimore, Maryland with his wife, Sharon. He has three sons, Thomas, Andrew and William.
